Affiliate Disclosure

Our current position

As of October 2026, What to Buy in China has no affiliate partnerships and earns no commission from any link on this site. Every outbound link is an ordinary editorial link to a shop, map, or official information page that we judged useful for travelers.

If that changes

If we enter an affiliate or sponsored relationship in the future, we will:

• Mark the affected links and disclose the relationship next to them;
• Update this page with the program names and how they work;
• Keep recommendations independent: affiliate availability will never decide what we cover, and we will never accept payment for placement in a guide.

The price you pay through any future affiliate link will be the same as going to the merchant directly.
